Located in the heart of the Renaissance city Providence, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center is the premier indoor arena. Home to the AHL Providence Bruins and Big East PC Friars, it is host to various sporting events, major concerts, family shows first-class entertainment and trade shows. Experiencing a Renaissance of its own, the Dunkin’ Donuts Center is upgrading the arena to hold your next event. With a 31,000 square feet arena, the floor can be set up to accommodate center stage shows, table seating, ice, dirt, basketball, and event trade show booths.
The center, also known as The Dunk, was built in 1972 as a place for the emerging Providence College men's basketball program and the high demand for tickets to their games in Alumni Hall, as well as for the then-Providence Reds, who played in the nearly fifty-year old Rhode Island Auditorium. The arena was known as the Providence Civic Center until a naming rights deal was reached with Dunkin' Donuts in June 2001. Current tenants include the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League and the Providence College Friars men's basketball team.
