This bar has some pretty bad local bands come in and play a few times a week. However, their drinks are pretty damn cheap and there is a good selection

The Basement, located below the House of Crave and next door to the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, is the most intimate venue in Columbus. The Basement hosts bands of moderate fame in a very small and very cozy environment. Pushing your personal boundaries is, I feel, an essential part of concert-going and at the basement you will get smashed closer to perfect strangers than you ever have before. The best part of the Basement is that it's cheap. And if you get tickets directly from their box office, located just outside of the Lifestyle Communities Pavilion, you don't have to pay for ticketmaster's "convenience" charges . At the Basement you can get right up close to some of your favorite alternative bands on the cheap. I thoroughly recommend it over Nationwide or any other large scale venue.

The Basement is a great place to here alot of Indie Music, playing host to about three shows per week. The downside however, is that although this is a pretty nice local club and with inexpensive shows, The Basement is a popular hang out for high school kids. So guys, if you want to find a girl to hook up with at your next Rock show don't go to The Basement or you'll end up jail bait!
