The Newport Music Hall

Located between Chipotle and Panini's on High, The Newport Music Hall appears to be just another small dirty venue. However, The Newport's intricate interior reminds me of an elegant theatre from the past and adds an heir of something greater that newer venues lack. Fortunately, the lack of upkeep over the years helps to provide a relaxed feel that lets concert-goers feel comfortable enough to sing along or slam their body into a stranger's. The venue's moderate size and lack of chairs are good for allowing a large number of people to still feel intimate with a band while letting mosh pits and crowd surfing to take place.

A True Columbus Landmark

Newport Music Hall is by far the best place to catch a concert in Columbus. It's set along side High St. and is host to some of the biggest bands in Rock, Country, Rap and Pop. Going to a concert at Newport you are exposed to a very up-close, loud and exciting show, the way its suppose to be. Aside from the Horseshoe, Newport is the one place you must expierence.
